Sam has called Western North Carolina home for over 37 years, building deep roots and a strong connection to the community he serves.

Before transitioning into real estate, he spent years in regional sales with companies like AT&T’s large business division and Lucent Technologies. For the past 26+ years, Sam has focused on real estate, gaining extensive experience in residential sales, leadership, and brokerage management. He has served as a Broker in Charge, Team Leader at two Keller Williams Market Centers, and held leadership roles with RE/MAX. Today, he is an Associate Broker with Fathom Realty.

Growing up as the son of a residential contractor, Sam developed hands-on knowledge of home construction, including electrical work, carpentry, and custom cabinetry. This practical background gives his clients a valuable edge when evaluating properties.

Sam is passionate about helping buyers and sellers navigate the process with confidence and ease. Known for his attention to detail and strong negotiation skills, he works to ensure smooth transactions, strong returns, and timely sales.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Sam is especially committed to serving veterans and others who dedicate their lives to the community.

Outside of real estate, he serves as a deacon in his local church and has participated in several short-term mission trips.

We had lived in Miami for over thirty years before deciding to move to North Carolina. We like the mountains and Fly Fishing. Having spent six vacations in Waynesville, we thought that would be our destination.

Sam called me as I was driving to Waynesville and introduced himself. I do not remember how he got my number but I am glad he did. It is seldom that you meet a person with Sam's skill set. When we said we wanted a home in the mountains, Sam found them for us. When we decided the mountains were not for us, he found us a home outside of town. He found us several places we liked enough to make an offer and when we changed our minds during the inspection period, he smiled and said "what would you like to see next"?

He knew what not to buy and told us; that is the benefit of knowing a General Contractor. We went from Waynesville to Bryson City to Maggie Valley to Hendersonville to Asheville. No place was too far away for Sam. No day was too busy for him. We were lucky to find such an experienced broker with a great attitude.

I began to feel guilty, asking him to meet us at so many listings and giving us sound advice about the buildings, the location and the price. Sam did not bat an eye, he just kept on going.

We eventually found the property we wanted. Three large bedrooms, two car garage and an all year around view of the mountains. No big repairs. The seller was fair about the asking price. Sam liked the place; so did we.

We closed today and will be moving in after doing some painting to accommodate my wife's color plan.

We were lucky to find our new home and very lucky that Sam was our broker. I recommend Sam without reservation.
